Brother of Tottenham’s Serge Aurier shot dead in France….

A younger brother of Tottenham player Serge Aurier has been shot dead in the French city of Toulouse, reportedly outside a night club. Christopher Aurier died in hospital after emergency services found him shot in the stomach in an industrial zone on the city’s outskirts, French media say.

Manchester City overturn two-year European ban….

Manchester City have successfully overturned their two-year ban from European club competitions. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) announced the club were cleared of “disguising equity funds as sponsorship contributions”. UEFA issued the ban in February after ruling City had committed “serious breaches” of Financial Fair Play regulations between 2012 and 2016.

Jordan Henderson out for the rest of the season….

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has been ruled out for the remaining four games of the season with a knee injury, according to manager Jurgen Klopp. Henderson scored in the 3-1 win against Brighton on Wednesday before limping off late on in the match. Klopp said the England international should be fit again for the delayed start to the 2020-21 season.

Suarez scores for Barcelona as Espanyol are relegated….

Barcelona kept alive their hopes of winning La Liga with a victory over Espanyol at the Nou Camp that also relegated the visitors. Both sides had a player sent off early in the second half after video assistant referee reviews. Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati was dismissed for a foul on Fernando Calero before Pol Lozano was red carded for a dangerous tackle.
