Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez has officially signed with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli, departing from Manchester City. The deal, which was announced on Friday, is set to run until 2027, according to statements from both clubs.

Although the exact financial terms were not disclosed, British media outlets have reported that Manchester City, the Premier League champions, have accepted a lucrative offer from Al-Ahli. The deal is believed to be worth a base fee of 35 million euros ($38.53 million) with an additional five million euros in potential add-ons.

Expressing his sentiments about the move, Mahrez shared a statement: “To play for Manchester City has been an honor and privilege. I came to City to win trophies and enjoy my football, and I achieved all that and so much more. Throughout his time with Manchester City, Mahrez showcased his exceptional talent, scoring an impressive 78 goals and providing 59 assists across 236 appearances in various competitions.
