Sharapova suspended by UN….

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has suspended Maria Sharapova after her failed a drug test. The Russian, 28, tested positive for meldonium and has been provisionally suspended from 12 March. “We last week suspended her role as a Goodwill Ambassador,” said a UNDP spokesperson. Sharapova has held the role since 2007 and has been suspended from “any planned activities while the investigation continues”.
