Czech Republic defeats Nigeria’s Super Eagles by a lone goal….

Super Eagles of Nigeria today lost by a lone goal to Czech Republic in their final warm up game played in Austria. The match started at 2pm Nigerian time. Czech’s goal was scored by Tomas Kalas in the 25th minute. Nigeria started the game with Francis Uzoho in goal and with Shehu Abdullahi, William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun and Brian Idowu all in the defensive positions. The midfield had John Ogu, Wilfred Ndidi and Mikel Obi. Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi and Odion Ighalo all started in the attacking positions.

Tyronne Ebuehi replaced Shehu Abdullahi at the start of the second half. Brian Idowu missed a one on one with the Czech goalkeeper in the 67th minute before he was replaced by Elderson Echiejile in the 69th minute. Simeon Nwankwo also came on for Odion Ighalo at this same time. Ahmed Musa and Kelechi Iheanacho came on in the 79th for Victor Moses and Mikel Obi respectively.

Super Eagles will now head to Russia for the 2018 World Cup where they will start their campaign with a match against Croatia on Saturday the 16th of June. This their first match will be played at 8pm Nigerian time. Good luck to the boys.
