Super Eagles of Nigeria are currently in camp in Austria ahead of their friendly games against Algeria and Tunisia on the 9th of October and the 13th of October respectively. Both games are to be played by 7:30 pm Nigeria time.
This coming together is also an opportunity for the players to fit the new kits launched before Covid-19 paused the beautiful game. The invited players are now in camp. Wilfred Ndidi and Oghenekaro Etebo are injured and not available for the games while Victor Osimhen asked to be excused. Tyronne Ebuehi and Paul Onuachu have arrived camp as replacements. Also in came are defender Kevin Akpoguma (Hoffenheim Germany) and goalkeeper Tobias Lawal (LASK Austria) who are familiarizing themselves with the Nigerian set up after deciding to switch allegiance to the West African power house. Akpoguma represented Germany at youth level while Lawal represented Austria at youth level. Former captain, Joseph Yobo, has also resumed as Super Eagles assistant coach.
