Former Nigeria skipper Sunday Oliseh will tomorrow in Abuja sign a contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as the country’s new coach. The contract signing will be done at a public presentation slated for the Abuja National Stadium Wednesday morning, officials have informed. Oliseh, 40, replaces Stephen Keshi, who was sacked for a breach of trust.
Oliseh and his Belgian sidekick, Jean Francois Lusciuto, are due to arrive in Abuja this evening and will meet with the NFF technical committee headed by Felix Anyansi-Agwu by 9pm at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja. The new Eagles coach has picked Losciuto because of his deep knowledge of African football as he has worked in Togo, Rwanda and Burkina Faso. Oliseh has said he will prefer to work with current Nigeria U23 goalkeeper Alloy Agu, meaning Ike Shorunmu will lose his position. Culled: Vanguard.
