It’s been rumoured for a while and now it’s official – the French Grand Prix will return to the Formula 1 calendar in 2018 for the first time since 2008. It will be staged at the Paul Ricard circuit, which last hosted the race in 1990. Paul Ricard is between Marseille and Toulon in the south of France. Magny-Cours was home to the race from 1991-2008. The deal was announced by Christian Estrosi, the president of the regional authority of Provence and the Cote d’Azur, in Paris on Monday.
