Sharapova ban reduced to 15 months….

Maria Sharapova’s doping ban is reduced to 15 months from two years by the Court of Arbitration for Sport. She will be free to play again from 26 April next year. The five-time Grand Slam winner, 29, was banned by the International Tennis Federation after testing positive for meldonium at the 2016 Australian Open. The Russian, who said she had been taking the drug since 2006 for health problems, appealed against the ban. Meldonium became a banned substance on 1 January 2016.
