Everton player offered chance to switch international allegiance….

Everton youngster Gethin Jones is weighing up an offer to play  for Australia. The 21-year-old was born Down Under but has represented  Wales at youth level. But now Jones has been given the chance to pledge his senior international future to Australia. Football Federation Australia (FFA) want Jones to switch allegiance but Wales will be determined to keep hold of the  talented defender.

Jones has played all the way up to under-21 level for Wales, has trained with the senior squad and is being tipped as someone who could form a key part of the national side over the next decade. But the Blues youngster is now mulling over an offer to follow in the footsteps of Everton favourite Tim Cahill and play his
international football for Aussie.
