Wayne Rooney ends Major League Soccer career….

Wayne Rooney has been hailed as a “big plus” during his time at DC United, after the former England captain played his final MLS game. Rooney, 33, who will move to Derby County in a player-coach role in January, saw his MLS career come to an end as DC suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat by Toronto FC in the play-offs.

Hawk-Eye apologises for VAR confusion in Tottenham vs Watford game….

The company that provides the Premier League’s video assistant referee (VAR) technology has apologised to Tottenham and Watford fans after an incorrect graphic was sent to the big screen during Saturday’s 1-1 draw. Dele Alli rescued a point for Spurs after a VAR review for handball decided the goal had been correctly awarded.
