Pictures of social distancing protocols as Bundesliga resumes….

Erling Braut Haaland scored once for Borussia Dortmund as they marked the return of the Bundesliga during the coronavirus outbreak with a convincing 4-0 derby win over Schalke. Raphael Guerreiro added two more goals and Thorgen Hazard (Eden’s brother) also found the net.

The match was played without the fans attending. See pictures for other social distancing protocols:

The Schalke substitutes were all separated by two metres.

Dortmund’s players applauded their absent fans at the final whistle.

There were 30 match balls placed around the stadium, each of them disinfected

by ball-boys who placed them on special spots rather than giving them directly to the players.

The South Stand at Signal Iduna Park holds 25,000 fans and is the biggest free-standing

grandstand in Europe. It is famed for its ‘Yellow Wall’ of Dortmund supporters, but was completely empty on

Saturday.

Some journalists were permitted to attend, but counting players, staff and officials, there

were only about 300 people in and around the stadium.

Elsewhere….

This screen at RB Leipzig told people to wash their hands.

Substitutes all sat apart and wore masks.

Wolfsburg players kicked boots with the officials afterwards.

RB Leipzig striker Yussuf Poulsen was interviewed from a safe distance.

Police made sure fans could not congregate outside.

Some goals were met by social-distancing celebrations.

And some were not.
